Harjinder Singh vs State of Punjab and Another

Alok Singh, J.—Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that in compliance of order dated 12.11.2010, the Petitioner has appeared before the Investigating Officer and has been enlarged on bail.

Learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab on the instructions of Mr. Jeet Ram, Head Constable, who is present in person in the court, states that the Petitioner has joined the investigation and some of the dowry/Istri Dhan articles have also been recovered from the Petitioner.

Learned Counsel for the complainant has stated that entire Istri Dhan has not been recovered as yet.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that entire Istri Dhan shall be returned to the complainant and there is a dispute about the total Istri Dhan.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed making the order dated 12.11.2010 absolute. However, it is clarified that the Petitioner shall participate in the investigation as and when he is required to do so. Both the parties complainant as well as the Petitioner shall submit list of Istri Dhan to the Investigating Officer.
