Jagmohan Bansal, J
The petitioner through instant pettition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitutioon of India is seeking direction to respondents to consider and accept his resignation dated 03.05.2024 (Annexure P-19).
The petitioner is posted with Punjab Police as Head Constable. He has filed hiis resignation dated 03.05.2024 on health grounds.
Mr. R. Kartikeya, Advocate subbmits that respondents are not intentionally accepting his resignation.
Notice of motion.
Mr. Deepender Singh, Addl. Advvocate General, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State.
With the consent of both sides, the present petition is taken up for final adjudication.
Learned State counsel submits thhat resignation can be accepted after getting NOC from different departmentss, including State Vigilance. As soon as NOC is received, an appropriate deecision would be taken by the competent authority. He assures the Court that needful shall be done within six weeks fromm today.
Inn the wake of statement of learned State counsel, the present petition stands disposed of.
