The petitioner (Gurbachan Kaur), alleges the violation of the order dated 01.05.2017 (Annexure P-1), passed in CWP No.8983 of 2017, whereby this

Court, while disposing of the petition, had directed to respondent No.2 therein 'to consider and decide her legal notice dated 03.03.2017, in

accordance with rules and pass a speaking order within two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.'

Since the needful was not done within the stipulated period, hence the present contempt petition.

Upon notice, a reply by way of affidavit of Shri R.K. Pachnanda, IPS, Director General, ITBPF, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New

Delhi/respondent, has been filed in Court today, wherein in para No.3, it is stated that the legal notice dated 03.03.2017 of the petitioner has been

considered and decided, by passing a speaking order dated 23.11.2017 (Annexure R-1), rejecting her claim for terminal benefits of her son.

In view of above, learned counsel for the respondent states that the order dated 01.05.2017 (P-1) has been complied with and no further action is

warranted in the present contempt petition as the same has become infructuous.

Dismissed as infructous.
