Judgment

The limited question for which the petitioner has come up before this Court is for extension of time to comply with the order dated 15.7.2021.
Given the amendment of Negotiable Instruments Act, the petitioner is under legal obligation to deposit at least 20% of the compensation amount.
The total compensation amount in this case is 4.80 lacs, as such the petitioner has to deposit 20% of the stipulated amount.
Given above, the petition is allowed subject to the petitioner depositing a sum of Rs. 98,000/- before the trial court on or before 20.8.2021. It is
clarified that in case of failure of deposit of compensation amount, this order shall automatically stand vacated. In case the petitioner deposits the
compensation amount, then learned trial court would proceed to suspend the sentence and let him to furnish the bail bonds.
The petition is allowed in the aforesaid terms. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
