Judgment
This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner against the illegal detention of the vehicle bearing Registration No.OD-09-K-7015 by the Opposite Parties in exercise of power under the Orissa Minerals (Prevention of Theft, Smuggling & Illegal Mining and Regulation of the Possession, Storage, Trading and Transportation) Rules, 2007 (hereinafter called 'the Rules, 2007').
Learned counsel for the Petitioner only prays for a direction to the Opposite Parties to forward the case of the Petitioner along with a report of the seizure of the Petitioner's vehicle to the competent Court in terms of Rule 12(2) of the Rules, 2007 for adjudication.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we direct the Opposite Parties to forward the case of the Petitioner relating to detention of the vehicle in question for adjudication by the appropriate authority or Court in accordance with Rule 12(2) of the Rules, 2007 within two weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
An urgent certified copy of this order be issued as per rules.
