Judgment
Mr. D.J. Saha, learned counsel, submits that he would be appearing for the petitioner. He further informs that the Special Leave Petition (Civil) Diary No.38038/2024 is pending before the Apex Court. Therefore, he submits that the matter may be adjourned.
It appears from the order dated 11.09.2024 that the matter was adjourned taking into note the pendency of the Special Leave Petition and that notices were also issued upon the respondent-contemnors by the Apex Court.
Learned senior counsel Mr. S.M. Chakraborty who appeared for the petitioner earlier seeks to recuse along with his assisting counsel Mrs. Pinki Chakraborty and Ms. Ankita Pal as he has since been appointed as the Advocate General of the State of Tripura. It further appears that the erstwhile Advocate General Mr. Siddhartha Sankar Dey is no longer holding the office. Therefore, request is made for deletion of his name from the array of the respondents' counsel also.
Mr. Kohinoor Narayan Bhattacharyya, learned Government Advocate, submits that Mr. Raju Datta, learned counsel, has been instructed to appear on behalf of the respondent-officials.
In view of the pendency of the Special Leave Petition, the matter is adjourned for 12(twelve) weeks.
Let the name of Mr. S.M. Chakraborty, learned senior counsel, Mrs. Pinki Chakraborty and Ms. Ankita Pal, learned counsel, be deleted from the array of the petitioner's counsel in the cause list henceforth.
Let the name of Mr. Siddhartha Sankar Dey, learned senior counsel, Ms. Ayantika Chakraborty and Mr. Soumyadeep Saha, learned counsel, be also deleted from the array of the respondents' counsel in the cause list henceforth.
Let the name of Mr. D.J. Saha appear as petitioner's counsel in the cause list upon filing of the Vakalatnama within a week.
Let the name of Mr. Raju Datta, learned counsel, appear as respondents' counsel in the cause list henceforth.
