Judgment
B. Bhattacharjee, J
Heard Mr. K. Paul, learned Sr. counsel assisted by Mr. B. Snaitang appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. S. Sengupta learned counsel appearing for the State respondents No. 1 to 8 and Mr. B. Khyriem learned counsel for the respondents No. 10 to 14.
At the outset, Mr. B. Khyriem learned counsel appearing for the respondents No. 10 to 14 submits that he has obtained instruction as required by this Court’s order dated 22.04.2024 and that as per the instruction, the Managing Committee has no authority and role in extending pensionary benefits to any employee of the school including the teachers and in such a situation, he is not in a position to say anything about the entitlement of the petitioner with regard to the pensionary benefits.
Heard learned counsel for the parties at some length on the merits of the writ petition. During the course of hearing, certain queries arose to which Mr. S. Sengupta, learned Addl. Sr. GA was not in a position to respond without any instruction. He prays for grant of some time so that he can obtain proper instruction and place it before the Court on the next date fixed.
Prayer allowed.
