Judgment
Prafulla C. Pant, J.—Heard.
By means of this writ petition moved under Article 226 of Constitution of India, the Petitioner has sought quashing of the First Information Report dated 05.08.2011, registered as Crime No. 176 of 2011, relating to offences punishable u/s 3/5/8/11 Uttarakhand Cow Progeny (Protection) Act, Police Station Bhagwanpur, District Hardwar.
Having considered submissions of learned Counsel for the Petitioner, and after going through the contents of the First Information Report, and other papers on record, this Court does not find sufficient reasons to interfere with the investigation of the case.
Therefore, without expressing any opinion as to final merits in the matter, the writ petition is summarily dismissed, with the observation that if the Petitioner Faizan surrenders before the court concerned, his bail application shall be heard and disposed of without unreasonable delay. (Stay Application No. 8721 of 2011 stands disposed of).
