Judgment
Barin Ghosh, C.J.—In the writ petition, the only contention is that the contract was awarded by the District Magistrate when he allegedly lost his authority to award such contract. The writ petition is devoid of any particulars that the subject contract is not for the benefit of or in connection with the Durgah. That being the situation, no public interest, as such, has been espoused in the present petition. The matter, thus, should rest there. If, in the matter of grant of contract, things have not been done in the manner the same should have been done, it shall be open to the appropriate authority to take such steps as it may take in accordance with law and in exercise of such authority which vests in him in law.
Learned Counsel for the private Respondents has recorded that the work has been completed and on top of that in an earlier litigation, the State in its counter affidavit has submitted that the work was accorded in accordance with law. We have not gone into that aspect of the matter.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
