In this writ petition, petitioner has challenged the order dated 22.12.2020 passed by Registrar Uttarakhand Medical Council, Dehradun. By the said

order, petitioner has been asked not to use expression ‘Neurologist’, as a suffix with his name.

Learned Senior Counsel appearing for Uttarakhand Medical Council submits that petitioner has availed the statutory remedy by filing an appeal

under Section 23 of Uttarakhand Medical Council Act. He further submits that the said appeal is pending before the Appellate Committee.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the aforesaid submission made on behalf of learned counsels for respondent no. 1 to 4.

In such view of the matter, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Appellate Committee of Uttarakhand Medical Council to decide

petitioner’s appeal, as early as possible, preferably within four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

5.

For a period of four weeks or till decision on petitioner’s appeal, whichever is earlier, order impugned in this writ petition, shall be kept in

abeyance.

6.

Let certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties by 11.01.2021.
