Judgment
Arindam Lodh, J
Heard Mr. BN Majumder, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. R. Purkayastha, learned counsel appearing for the applicant. Also heard Mr. D. Sarma, learned Additional GA appearing for the respondents-State and Mr. Raju Datta, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-TPSC.
By means of filing the instant application, the applicant has prayed for allowing him to participate in the selection process for the post of Assistant Professor in Bengali subject.
Mr. Datta, learned counsel and Mr. Sarma, learned Additional GA has submitted that the applicant is not qualified to appear in the interview.
However, it is clear case of the applicant that he is qualified to appear in the selection process. Accordingly, he requires to submit application to participate in the selection process in terms of Advertisement No. 5/2025, dated 30.01.2020.
Having heard learned senior counsel for the applicant, it appears that the applicant wants to participate in the selection process at his own risk.
In view of the above, the applicant may be allowed to apply for the said post. It is made clear that his participation in such selection process will be subject to the outcome of the writ petition.
Accordingly, the instant interlocutory application stands disposed.
