Judgment
T.R. Ramachandran Nair, J.—The main prayer in the Writ Petition is the following:
Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the 1st Respondent to approve the placement of the Petitioner as Lecturer (Selection Grade) with effect from 1.3.1999 instead of 1.3.2000, after giving relaxation on account of Ph.D. and pass fresh orders without delay.
It is the case of the Petitioner that the Petitioner is working as Lecturer (Selection Grade) in the St. Berchman''s College, Changanassery. Presently, the Petitioner has filed a representation as per Exhibit P6 before the University to issue revised orders approving his placement as Lecturer (Selection Grade) with effect from 1.3.1999. The College has also forwarded the request as evident from Exhibit P7 through the Principal to the Registrar of the University. The Petitioner seeks for an expeditious disposal of the application.
In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the University to take appropriate decision on Exhibits P6 and P7 as sought for by the Petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
