Judgment

Mr. S. Sen, learned counsel submits that he presently will be appearing only for the respondents No. 1 and 2, as respondents No. 3 and 4 are independent entities, i.e. The Chairman, Selection Committee and The Chairman, Screening Committee, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong respectively. He further submits that the judgment, on which the petitioner has placed reliance to advance their case, i.e. judgment dated 4th August, 2023 passed in Writ Petition (S/B) No. 204 of 2021 by the High Court of Uttarakhand at Nainital, has since been stayed on an SLP being preferred therefrom.
Mr. H.L. Shangreiso, learned Senior counsel has entered appearance on behalf of the respondent No. 6, as well as Mr. Philemon Nongbri, learned counsel has entered appearance on behalf of the respondent No. 7. Ms. P. Agarwal, learned counsel who is stated to be the Standing Counsel for the respondent No. 5 submits that she has not been served with a copy of the writ petition, as yet.
List this matter on 22nd November, 2023 for affidavits by the respondents.
This order has been passed notwithstanding the pendency of the similar writ petition, which is in an SLP before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
