This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondent-Commission to consider his application form for the post of Lecturer (Civics) under the category of Disabled Person, pursuant to advertisement dated 30.12.2025.
It is case of petitioner that respondent-Commission has issued an advertisement dated 30.12.2025 for supplying vacancies on the post of lecturers in different subjects including Lecturer (Civics) to which he submitted his application form as a General Candidate under Disabled Category, as hearing impaired candidate. But petitioner could not submit his application form under that category.
Learned counsel for petitioner submits that application form of the petitioner was not accepted online under the category of “Disabled”, therefore he want this category to be enter in his application form. Furthermore he states that petitioner submitted his application form for the said purpose also but it has not been processed due to technical problem as online form could not be filled up with disabled category.
Now the petitioner is present before this Court, in the present writ petition, with the aforesaid prayer.
Learned counsel for the respondent-Commission submits that the Disabled Category of “hearing impaired” is not available to the Lecturer (Civics) as per requisition sent by the State Government and it is for that reason the application form could not have been accepted online. Further the petitioner himself tick “No” to the column meant for the “Disable Category” and at this juncture he cannot be allowed to make such an amendment in his application form.
Having considered rival submissions of the parties, this Court is of the view that petitioner cannot be permitted to make amendment in his application form at this belated stage and secondly “Hearing impaired Disability” was not available to the subject-Civics. Thus no interference is warranted.
Accordingly writ petition stands dismissed in limine.
