Judgment

The petitioner is an accused in FIR No. 203 of 2020 dated 01.08.2020 under Sections 324, 504, & 506 of IPC pending in the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal. Respondent no. 3 is the complainant.
Presently, an application has been filed seeking to compound the offences on the basis of an affidavit of compromise arrived at between the parties. I have considered the same. There is a settlement arrived at between the parties. There is an affidavit filed by the petitioner on 19.08.2020 and an affidavit filed by respondent no. 3 also on the very same day. They have settled their dispute outside the Court and both of them have pleaded that FIR No. 203 of 2020 dated 01.08.2020 under Sections 324, 504, & 506 of IPC pending in the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal be quashed.
Shri J.S. Virk, learned deputy advocate general has also been heard.
Considering the same, we do not find that the same is opposed to law. The parties having settled their dispute, the Compounding Application requires to be allowed. Hence, for the reasons assigned, the Compounding Application is allowed. All further proceedings in FIR No. No. 203 of 2020 dated 01.08.2020 under Sections 324, 504, & 506 of IPC pending in the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal are quashed.
The petition is accordingly disposed-off.
