1.

The present petition was filed way back in 2016, complaining of ‘fraudulent land mafias’ operating in and around the Dhamara Port area.

2.

Pursuant to the notice issued in the present petition on 25th February, 2016 (after which the case was never listed except today in its own turn), a counter affidavit was filed by the local Police way back on 4th May, 2016.

3.

The Petitioner does not appear to have shown any interest in the matter thereafter since no rejoinder has been filed to the said counter affidavit which encloses copies of three FIRs registered in the Chandbali Police Station in Bhadrak district.

4.

If the Petitioners are really serious about pursuing the present petition, they should file a comprehensive affidavit before the next date after finding out from the Inspector-In-Charge (IIC) of Chandbali Police Station about the current status of each of the above FIRs. The IIC will extend his full cooperation to the Petitioners if they approach him in this regard. Independently, the IIC of Chandbali PS will file an affidavit in this Court updating the current status of the investigation of those cases.

5.

List on 24th November, 2022.
