Judgment
Ashutosh J. Shastri, J
By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs :-
“(A) To direct the Respondent Bar Council of Gujarat to provisionally enroll the petitioner as an Advocate on the Roll of the Advocate of
Advocates maintained by the Bar Council of Gujarat;
(B) To direct the Respondent to permit the Petitioner to appear in the ensuing the All-India Bar Examination.
(C) Pending admission and final disposal of the petition, the Petitioner may be permitted to appear in the All-India Bar Examination;
(D) Pending admission and final disposal of this petition, the Hon’ble Court may direct the Respondent to consider the case of the Petitioner in the
ensuring his enrollment in the meeting of the Enrollment Committee;
(E) To grant any other and further reliefs that may be deemed fit and proper and in the interest of Justice.â€
Pursuant to advance copy having been given to learned counsel Mr. R. C. Jani appearing for the Bar Council of Gujarat, he has taken instructions
and stated before the Court that the reply is filed in the Registry, but be that as it may, the petitioner will be given an enrollment number so as to
enable the petitioner to appear in All India Bar Council Examination and the said enrollment number will be given to the petitioner shortly within a
period of one week from today.
In view of above statement having been made by learned counsel Mr. R. C. Jani on instructions, the petitioner does not press this petition at this
stage. The petition accordingly stands disposed of as not pressed.
It is made clear and as is understood by the petitioner that the enrollment number which will be given to the petitioner, will be subject to verification
process and its outcome and no equity will be created by the petitioner in any form.
