Judgment
This application is filed for extension of time granted to the State of Kerala to furnish particulars required by the Government of India in the letter of MoEF & CC dated 20.10.2014 within two weeks. The State of Kerala has sought six months' time on the ground that to carve out the actual forest area in 142 villagers, it requires physical verifications.
The learned counsel appearing for the applicant submits that a Committee has been constituted for the purpose of doing this work so as to enable the Government of Kerala to give particulars to the MoEF & CC. Taking note of the overall situation, we are of view that the State Government should be given three months' time from today for completing its full exercise. We make it clear that no further time will be granted.
The application stands disposed, permitting the State Government of Kerala to furnish the particulars to MoEF & CC within 12 weeks from today and thereafter it will be open to MoEF & CC to finalise the issue for final notification within 8 weeks
The application stands disposed accordingly.
