Judgment

The instant petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 for not harrasing the petitioners in connection with FIR No.188, dated 15.12.2023 registered at Police Station Sadar Dhuri, District Sangrur, under Section 379 of Indian Penal Code.
Learned counsel representing the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are being harassed by the police on account of the fact that one FIR i.e. FIR No.188, dated 15.12.2023 has been lodged, wherein it is suspected that younder son of petitioner No.1 is involved therein.
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3 – Station House Officer, Dhuri, District Sangrur that in case the petitioners are to be associated with any inquiry or any investigation in connection with aforesaid FIR so as to seek any information, then provisions of Section 160 Cr.P.C. shall be duly adhered to.
Needless to mention, in case the petitioners themselves are found to be involved, compliance of Section 41-A Cr.P.C. shall be duly made.
