Judgment
Ajay Mohan Goel, J
By way of this petition, the limited prayer which has been made by the petitioner is that he may be granted interim bail for a period of two weeks so that he is able to meet his ailing father, who is suffering from Cancer and is in a critical condition. The petitioner is in custody in FIR No. 54 of 2019, dated 28.03.2019, registered under Section 21-61-85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Act, at Police Station Theog, District Shimla, H.P.
Mr. Abhishek Negi, learned Counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the OPD slips in the name of father of the petitioner, issued by Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Shimla, contents of which also stand perused by learned Additional Advocate General.
Without going into the merit of the petition, as agreed upon, this petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall be permitted to visit his father at their residence in village Jail, Tehsil Gohar, District Mandi, H.P. on 10.07.2020. The petitioner shall be escorted by two police personnel for the said purpose from the Jail premises to his residence and back. Police personnel escorting the petitioner shall ensure that he does not abuses the liberty which has been granted to him, and further, it will be their responsibility to properly and safely escort the petitioner to his village and back to Jail premises. The petitioner shall have to bear the expenses of transportation for this purpose. The petitioner shall be escorted back to the Jail premises where he is presently lodged maximum by 7:00 p.m. on 10.07.2020. The petition stands disposed accordingly.
