Heard learned counsel for the parties through video conferencing.

According to the petitioner, his father Late Ganga Singh was a freedom fighter, who was recognized as “Freedom Fighter†by the appropriate

Government.

According to the petitioner, dependents of freedom fighters, who are physically challenged, are entitled to certain amount, as pension. It is the case

of the petitioner that he suffers from locomotor disability to the extent of 75%, which has been certified by the Medical Board, however, no pension is

being paid to him despite policy of the Government.

By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought following relief:-

(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding/directing the respondents to pay the dependent of freedom fighter pension

alongwith other admissible benefits to the petitioner.

Having regard to the relief claimed in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a formal application(s) to

the appropriate Government(s). In his application, petitioner shall give all necessary particulars which are necessary for grant of pension. If petitioner

makes such application(s) within three weeks from today, the appropriate Government(s) shall look into the matter and take appropriate decision,

within six months from the date of production of such representation along with certified copy of this order.
