Judgment

An affidavit dated 27.02.2025 has been filed by the Additional District Collector bringing on record two communications dated 04.12.2023 and 07.08.2024 addressed to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corportation Limited (NHIDCL). These communications draws their attention to several cases of damage to land and property reported in the areas where road construction work is being carried out by NHIDCL. They have been requested to look into the issues of the damages in the interest of the public.
The learned Assistant Government Advocate submits that however, they have not received any response from either the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways or the NHIDCL. He therefore, seeks some time to await the response and if it is not forthcoming he desires to file a counter affidavit. On his request further time is granted for the said purpose.
