This petition has been filed by petitioner Chitter Singh, who is working with the respondents on the post of Driver-cum-Pump Operator, Fire Post, Keylong, District Lahaul Spiti. The petitioner was initially appointed on that post with the respondents-Department on 23.05.2018 on contract basis. He was ordered to be regularized vide order dated 26.10.2021 by the respondents-Department. The petitioner has accordingly completed normal tenure of three years including two winters and three summers in tribal area and as per the Transfer Policy of the State, now he is entitled to be posted in a soft area. Petitioner has submitted a representation to respondent No.2 (Annexure P-2), requesting for his transfer to a soft area in accordance with the Transfer Policy of the Sate Government. The petitioner also stated in his representation that his mother mostly remains ill and there is no one to look after her as his elder brother has expired. The petitioner has given the choice of four places in two Districts.

Having regard to the limited nature of the submissions made, without going into the merits of the case, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner, Annexure P-2, within a period of 15 days from the date of submission of the copy of this order before the competent authority by the petitioner. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
