The petitioner as father of the deceased son is before Court seeking a direction upon the Government Authorities to inform the= petitioner as to the assets available to the deceased son at Australia.

Learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that, the son of the petitioner died under mysterious circumstances while working at Australia. The petitioner reasonably believes that, his son left behind various assets including amounts lying with banks. The Government Authorities should take appropriate measures for the purpose of repatriating such assets of the deceased son of the petitioner to his country and making it over to the petitioner.

State and the Union of India are represented.

Learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the Union of India submits that, the body of the deceased son of the petitioner could not be brought to India due to health safety reasons. The deceased son

was cremated in Sydney.

In the facts of the present case, the Central Government will take appropriate steps for the purpose of identifying the assets, if any, belonging to the deceased son of the petitioner lying at Australia. In the event, they locate such assets, they will take appropriate measures for the purpose of repatriating the same to India and returning it to the petitioner, in accordance with law.

List the Writ petition in the Monthly List of December 2019 when the Central Government will inform the Court as to the steps and measures taken.
