Judgment

Heard Mr. A. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Dr. N. Mozika, learned DSGI assisted by Ms. T. Sutnga, learned counsel appearing through virtual mode accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents, so no further notice is called for.
The prayer of the writ petitioner at this stage is for stay of the transfer order, for which he has to leave for his place of posting by 06.10.2022, hence this motion is being moved today.
The reasons for assailing the transfer order as contended by the writ petitioner is that his wife is suffering from Colitis for which immediate medical attention is necessary, and the presence of the petitioner is needed.
Though, Courts are slow in interfering in transfer matters, especially such as the instant case, considering the fact that the petitioner had already spent a considerable period of time on deputation in Shillong, however, in the interest of justice, in the meantime, status quo shall be maintained as to the movement of the petitioner till 14.10.2022, when the matter will be taken up again for further consideration.
Accordingly, list this matter on 14.10.2022.
