Jasgurpreet Singh Puri, J
Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. Apprehending threat to their life and liberty,
they have filed the present petition for protection. They claim to have submitted a representation (Annexure P-5) dated 13.11.2019 in this regard to the
Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar.

Notice of motion to the office of Advocate General, Punjab.
On asking of the Court, Mr.Randhir Singh Thind, DAG Punjab, present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of the State. Copy supplied.
The petitioners have placed on record only the copies of Aadhar Cards (Annexures P-1 and P-2) as proof of their age.
During the course of hearing, the petitioners have produced self attested copies of PAN Cards which are taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate
place. Two photographs on one sheet as Annexure P-3 and a copy of certificate as Annexure P4 regarding performance of marriage, have also been
placed on record This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, to look into the representation Annexure P-5
dated 13.11.2019 and ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners.
However, it is made clear that this order shall not be treated as stamp of the Court about the marriage of the parties and no opinion regarding the
validity of the marriage has been expressed.
