Judgment

Mr. R.S. Malngiang, learned counsel for the petitioner has led this Court to the affidavit-in-opposition filed on behalf of the respondent No. 2, the same being filed on 28.09.2022, wherein at para 8, the following averment has been made.
“8. That the Answering Respondent further states that it is decided in the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority, Shillong board meeting that when a sanctioned post of Sectional Assistant is created by the process of downgrading/upgrading of posts, the Petitioner would be considered first for appointment to the said post upon the Petitioner being senior most as per the gradation list amongst all improperly appointed Sectional Assistants.”
In this regard, it is submitted that, after so many years, no communication or decision has been taken by the respondent authorities as far as sanctioning of the post of Sectional Assistant in MUDA is concerned.
In reply, Mr. S. Dey, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent No. 2/MUDA prays that he may be allowed to seek specific instructions as far as this particular averment is concerned.
Accordingly, as prayed for, list this matter after 2(two) weeks.
