Judgment
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, thereby directing the respondents herein to grant permission and protection to conduct the Adal Padal cultural Programme on 13.03.2021 at 07.00 p.m., to 10.30 p.m., in pursuant to the Masi Maha Sivarathri Urchava festival of Arulmighu Sri Munusamy Temple in Poosalapuram, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District.
On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the petitioner has sent representations to the first respondent and third respondent. However, the respondents failed to consider the representations of the petitioner and prayed for suitable direction to be issued to the petitioner.
On the side of the respondents, it is stated that there is one more petition filed by another person for conducting cultural programme in the same temple. Only the date is different. One petition is for conducting cultural programme on 13.03.2021 and the other petition is for conducting cultural programme on 12.03.2021.
It is seen that the petitioner has sent representations to the first respondent and the third respondent.
In view of the same, the first respondent is hereby directed to decide the merits of the representation in accordance with the situations prevailing in that locality within a period of two days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
