The above writ petition is filed alleging that the functioning of the 7th respondent factory is causing environmental pollution.
An interim order was passed on 6.1.2016 directing the 6th respondent to conduct surprise inspection in the premises of the 7th respondent and find out if operation of the unit is in violation of the pollutions norms and to file a report before this Court. Accordingly a report was filed on 2.6.2017 stating that inspections were conducted and at the time of inspection, the unit was functioning satisfactorily. The report also narrates the details of the steps taken by the unit to prevent any pollution. This is recorded.
The contesting respondent has also filed a counter affidavit denying the allegations made against them.
After hearing the learned counsel on either side, I find that no further orders are required in the above writ petition in the light of the above facts.
The petitioner will be free to move the authorities in case of his rights being violated due to any overt act of the 7th respondent in future.
The writ petition is closed.
