Mr. Parida, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioners and submits, his clients are workmen, who have raised industrial dispute, registered as I.D. Case no.07 of 2019 in the Labour Court, Sambalpur. They have prayed for direction to transfer the case to the Industrial Tribunal, Rourkela in interest of justice.

On query from Court he submits, request for transfer of the I.D. case was already made to the appropriate government under section 33B in Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. Copy of said request dated 18th January, 2023 is annexure 8.

We notice that the request for transfer was made by one of petitioners and in the recent past, on 18th January, 2023. All others have joined in seeking directions. We notice further, the industrial dispute was raised by the union, who neither made the request nor is before us. Mr. Parida submits, in the meantime registration of the union stands cancelled. Writ petition challenging the same is pending since year 2018.

Mr. Rout, learned advocate, Additional Standing Counsel appears for, inter alia, opposite party no.1, the appropriate Government.

We have no doubt in our minds that the appropriate Government will expeditiously deal with the request, one way or other. Petitioners are directed to communicate this order to opposite party no.1.

The writ petition is disposed of.
