1.

The grievance of the present Appellant against the impugned order of learned Single Judge is that, without calling for the counter affidavit the writ

petition was dismissed on the basis of submission made by the learned Additional Government Advocate regarding the insertion of the clause in the

minutes of the selection committee which finalized the list of persons qualified for appointment as Class-IV attendant’s post in the SCB Medical

College, Cuttack.

2.

The present Appellant’s grievance was that in the aforementioned minutes dated 22nd November, 2018 the committee decided to keep the

merit list valid for one year from the date of selection, i.e. 22nd November, 2018. According to the Appellant it should have been kept alive beyond

one year. The learned Single Judge has rejected the above submission on the ground that keeping the merit list alive for a period of one year is a

‘normal procedure’, which is well accepted.

3.

Having heard learned counsel for the Appellant the Court is not persuaded to take a different view in the matter.

4.

The writ appeal is accordingly dismissed.
