Heard Mr. R. Kharsyad learned counsel for the petitioner and also heard Mr. S. Sengupta, learned Addl, PP appearing for the respondent.

During the course of hearing of the matter, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the learned Sessions Judge rejected the prayer of the accused for grant of bail for the reasons that evidence of the prosecution witness in this case is likely to be completed in the month of January / February, 2024, but the same has not been completed till now and inspite of number of dates having been fixed in the matter, no witness has turned up before the Trial Court in the last two to three dates. He however submits that the matter is fixed again on 18.01.2024 for examination of prosecution witness and the petitioner at this stage would like to see if any witness turns up on the said date before pressing this petition for bail.

In view of the submissions, list this matter immediately after vacation for consideration of the prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail to the accused.
