Judgment
Bhaskar Raj Pradhan, J
Writ Petition (C) No. 30 of 2022 and Writ Petition (C) No 31 of 2022 are connected matters. The two writ petitions before this Court raises similar issues.
The matters have been pending for some time now without resolution. In both these matters amendment applications have been filed pursuant to the petitioner seeking certain information under the Right to Information Act, 2005. Having secured those informations, amendments are now sought on the ground that the petitioner who were not aware that they were “casual laborers with temporary status” which according to the petitioner would give them additional benefits.
On consideration of the issues sought to be raised in the present writ petitions this Court is of the considered view that the matter can be effectively resolved through Mediation. Both the learned counsel for the parties also agrees. The petitioners have been consulted and they are agreeable to resolve their issues through the process of Mediation. The matters are referred to the Sikkim State Legal Services Authority for Mediation.
