Petitioner was appointed as Manager Technical in Disaster Mitigation and Management Centre on contract with effect from 16.11.2005. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the competent authority to consider his claim for regularization on the basis of Regularization Rules applicable to the state employees.
It is not in dispute that State Government has framed Rules for regularization of contract/adhoc/daily wages employees in the year 2013. As per those Rules, anyone who was appointed on contract/adhoc/daily wages basis has a right to be considered for regularization, against available vacancies.
Since petitioner was appointed in the year 2005, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the competent authority i.e. respondent no.2, to refer petitioner’s case for regularization to the Regularization Committee, and pass necessary order as per provisions of the regularization Rules within six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
