This writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner for grant of extension of maternity leave for a further period of 90 days.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that petitioner may be allowed to prefer an appeal / representation before the respondent authorities for grant of maternity leave in view of the decision rendered by this Court in WPS No. 101 of 2017, Devshree Bandhe v. Chhattisgarh State Power Holding Company Limited and Others.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The prayer appears to be fair and reasonable and is accordingly allowed.
Be that as it may, if such representation is preferred by the petitioner along with copy of judgment passed in Devshree Bandhe (supra), then the concerned authority shall consider the case of the petitioner for grant of further 90 days of maternity leave and dispose it of expeditiously preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of representation.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
