Judgment
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner in this original petition.
Petitioner is the second defendant in O.S.No.25/2015 on the file of Sub Court, Karunagappally. She seeks a direction to be issued to the court below to take up I.A.No.3/2020 in O.S.No.25/2015 filed under Order XX Rule 18 of the Code of Civil Procedure,1908 for urgent consideration and disposal within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
A report was obtained from the court below. It is submitted in the report that the officer needs eight months' time to dispose of the interlocutory application. The time sought by the learned officer seems to be too long to be granted. Two months' time may be at the most needed for disposing Ext.P6 which is only an application for passing supplementary preliminary decree.
In the result, original petition is allowed directing the learned officer to dispose of Ext.P6(I.A.No.3/2021 in O.S.No.25/2015) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
All pending interlocutory applications will stand closed.
