Judgment
Meenakshi Madan Rai, J
As submitted by Learned Assistant Government Advocate, there are 66 (sixty-six) Petitioners on record. 38 (thirty-eight) Petitioners sought to be impleaded in the matter by filing I.A No.06 of 2017 as reflected in the Order dated 11-12-2017 and was disposed of as withdrawn on 15-12-2017.
The submissions of the Learned Counsel for the Petitioners on the last date that there are 203 Petitioners on record is erroneous, as the Court was informed on 15-12-2017 that 203 persons were affected on account of the construction of the Airport and this number was submitted to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Pakyong and are therefore not Petitioners herein. Thus, it emanates that there are only 66 (sixty-six) Petitioners on record.
It is the further submission of Learned Assistant Government Advocate that out of 66 (sixty-six) Petitioners, 34 (thirty-four) Petitioners have been paid compensation for land acquisition. That, the total compensation paid to the affected persons amount to Rs.65,95,26,188/-(Rupees sixty five crores ninety five lakhs twenty six thousand one hundred and eighty eight) only, but Counsel is unable to explain the number of persons the amount of Rs.65,95,26,188/-(Rupees sixty five crores ninety five lakhs twenty six thousand one hundred and eighty eight) only was distributed to.
