The writ petitioners numbering 16, at this stage have only a limited prayer, as the other prayer regarding release of gratuity no longer survives, as they have been paid the same.
The only prayer that survives as per the submission of Mr. A. Khan, the learned counsel of the petitioners is with regard to leave encashment.
Mr. P. Yobin, the learned counsel for the respondent No. 1 submits that the entitlement of leave encashment of the petitioners is not disputed, and what only remains is the calculation and for the placement of adequate funds from the State Government, as the respondent is under severe financial constraints.
In this view of the matter, there is no sense in keeping this matter pending, and the respondents are accordingly directed to compute the entitlement of the writ petitioners, and to complete the entire process of release of dues, preferably within a period of 6(six) months from the date of this order.
With the above directions, this matter stands closed and is accordingly disposed of
