Pleading urgency this application was mentioned in the morning.

Counsel for the petitioners is absent. Service memo filed along with the interlocutory application would disclose that a copy of the application has been served upon the counsel for the petitioners.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar, the learned G.P. V appears for the respondent-State.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, the learned counsel for the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission submits that in view of the circumstances beyond control of the the applicants, it has become necessary for the Commission to accept applications from the intending candidates pursuant to 2016 Advertisement.

By an order dated 27.03.2017, further process in respect of Advertisement No. 21 of 2016 was stayed by this Court. However, the Commission was permitted to accept the applications till 31.03.2017, which was the last date notified by the Commission itself.

In the circumstances, it is clarified that the stay granted by this Court on 27.03.2017 is intended to put an embargo on further process of examination pursuant to Advertisement No. 21 of 2016, and the respondents, if they so decide, can extend the last date for accepting applications.

This application stands allowed in the aforesaid terms. A copy of the order be given to the learned counsel for the Commission.
