Judgment

The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:
i. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writs, order or direction, directing the 2nd respondent to permit the petitioner to operate on the basis of temporary permit in continuation of Exhibit P14 by considering Exhibit P16 application for temporary permit on the route Cheriyaazheekal Temple – Adoor Central in respect of stage carriage KL-31P-5030;
ii. Declare that the petitioner is entitled to get the permit validated under Section 214(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act till the disposal of the Appeal by the Tribunal.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the State Transport Appellate Tribunal has passed an order on 25.09.2023, granting Temporary Permit for the stage carriage of the petitioner bearing registration No. KL.31P-5090 on the route Cheriyaazheekkal Temple -Adoor Central. However, the order has not been issued. With the
absence of the petitioner having the order, the petitioner will not be able to operate his stage carriage and therefore submits that for a period of two days the status quo may be directed to be maintained.
Considering the aforesaid request, status quo for a period of two days in respect of the stage carriage of the petitioner for operating on the route Cheriyaazheekkal Temple -Adoor Central is granted.
With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition stands finally disposed of.
