1.

The petitioners are seeking a typing re-test for those candidates who qualified the stenography test.

2.

Admittedly, there is no provision for conducting typing test a second time. This cannot be done for another reason namely, it would discriminate the ones who have qualified the typing test and they may go down in merit list, if a fresh typing test of only those candidates who have qualified stenography test is conducted, and, may be, one out of several gets more marks.

3.

Pursuant to an advertisement issued vide Advertisement no. 8 of 2015 for Jharkhand Secretariat Stenographer Competitive Examination, 2015, the petitioners appeared. As many as 960 candidates had qualified and they were called for typing and stenography test. The petitioners have produced their score cards which would disclose that they all failed in the typing test mainly for the reason that the number of errors in the typing test committed by them was large. Now, on a plea that the test which was conducted in Kurti Dev 010 font certain errors had crept in, the petitioners are seeking another typing test. If that is so, it was for all the candidates who had appeared for typing test and while so, the petitioners cannot claim that they have suffered any prejudice.

4.

Finding no merit in the writ petition, it is dismissed.
