Judgment
Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The writ petition is filed with the following prayer:
(a) Direct the Respondents to grant all the consequential benefits as a result of his regularization to the post of DPE and regular appointment as DPE with effect from 13.10.2006 when he had completed eight years of his contractual service as DPE with Respondent department instead of 24.9.2010 as he was denied regularization and posting arbitrarily.
The very policy of regularization after eight years was introduced only w.e.f. 31.3.2008. Therefore, the Petitioner should not have asked for regularization from the year 2006. Be that as it may. In case the Petitioner had completed eight years of service required for regularization in terms of the policy as on 31.3.2008, the Petitioner shall be granted the benefit of regularization w.e.f. that date as has been done in the cases of other teachers. The needful shall be done within a period of four months from the date of the production of a copy of this judgment by the Petitioner.
The writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
