Judgment
Sudhir Mittal, J
The petitioner seeks regular bail in case FIR No.66 dated 20.6.2020, registered at Police Station Tallewal, District Barnala, under Sections 3, 4 and 5 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 and Sections 370 and 370-A IPC.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been in custody for more than 03 months. The trial is not likely to be concluded at an early date as even charges have not been framed. There is no other criminal case pending against the petitioner and thus, he may be granted regular bail.
Learned State counsel concedes that the petitioner has been in custody for 03 months and 10 days and that there is no other criminal case pending against him. He further concedes that charges have not been framed.
It is, thus, evident that trial is not likely to be concluded at an early date and keeping in view the custody period undergone by the petitioner, I deem it appropriate to grant regular bail to him. Accordingly, the petition is allowed and petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate, concerned.
