Judgment
Aman Chaudhary, J
Learned counsel submits that the petitioners were debarred from promootion to the post of Lecturer in thheir respective subjects only on account of the fact that they had obtained the post-graduation degree(s) from the Universities located outside the territorial jurisdiction of the State and that the said issue has been decided on 09.04.2025 by the Division Beench in a batch of appeals with the lead case being LPA-1843-2019. He prrays for re-consideration of the matter taking into consideration the above-said judgment in a time bound manner.
The aforesaid facts having been brought out, during the course of hearing, learned State counsel, on instructions, states that the respondentss would not be averse to havinng a relook at the matter and decide afressh, taking note of the afore-referred judgment, within a period of 4 monthss, uninfluenced by the order(s) immpugned in the present case, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not
address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
The aforesaid satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioners.
The matter stands disposed of accordingly and if the petitioners are found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same may be passed after granting opportunity of hearing to them and shall contain reasons, whereupon they shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
