After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be permitted to approach the appellate Authority by
preferring an appeal under the provisions of CCS (CCA) Pension Rules, 1972 with a direction to the appellate Authority to consider and decide the
appeal within a period of two weeks as the petitioner is going to retire in June 2021.
On the other hand, learned Additional Advocate General, submits that two weeks may not be sufficient for disposal of the appeal as the appellate
Authority has to arrange for relevant records and material. Hence, he prayed that some more time may be granted to consider and decide the appeal.
Under these circumstance, we dispose of the present petition by permitting the petitioner to file an appeal, if not already filed, within a period of one
week from today and the appellate Authority by taking note of the fact that the petitioner is going to retire in June 2021, should dispose of the appeal
within a period of six weeks from the date of filing of the appeal.
Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of.
