On 27.02.2026, the following order was passed:-
“Counsel asserts that petitioner is Head Sewadar at Dera Nanaksar Kaleran, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana and his security has been withdrawn vide impugned order dated 22.02.2026, Annexure P7, despite the fact that he has a serious threat to life.
Issue notice of motion to the respondents.
On asking of Court, Mr. Rahul Aaryan, Advocate and Ms. Ravinder Kaur, who are assisting Mr. Chanchal K. Singla, Senior Advocate/Addl. A.G., Punjab, accept notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 6.
Ms. Saigeeta Srivastava, Advocate, who is assisting Mr. Satya Pal Jain, Senior Advocate/Addl. Solicitor General of India, accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.7.
State counsel requests for deferment to file response.
List on 10.03.2026.
In the meanwhile, respondents No.1 to 6 are directed to examine the threat perception of the petitioner and submit a report on or before the next date of hearing.”
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that grievance of petitioner stands redressed, thus, he does not want to press the petition, at this stage, and the same be dismissed as withdrawn.
Dismissed as withdrawn, at this stage.
