This Application has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for quashing the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.92 of 2025, “State vs. Azam and Others”, pending before the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Roorkee, District Haridwar under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 325, 504, 506, 498A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 3 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

Mr. Rajveer Singh, learned counsel for the applicants- accused.

Mr. Chitrarth Kandpal, learned Brief Holder for the respondent no.1.

Mr. Ravinder Kumar Verma, learned counsel for the respondent nos.2 to 6.

Applicant no.1 is the husband of the respondent no.6, the daughter of the respondent no.5 - informant. Respondent no.2, respondent no.3 and respondent no.4 are injured.

All the applicants are present through video conferencing. They are identified by Mr. Rajveer Singh, Advocate.

The respondent nos.2 to 6 are present through video conferencing. They are identified by Mr. Ravinder Kumar Verma, Advocate.

The private respondents submitted that they have compounded the offences. The respondent no.6 and the applicant no.1 have submitted that they are living together. The private respondents have requested to quash the entire proceedings of the said Criminal Case No. 92 of 2025.

The said request has not been opposed by the respondent no.1.

Considering the totality of the matter, this Court is of the view that ends of justice would be met if the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.92 of 2025, “State vs. Azam and Others”, pending before the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Roorkee, District Haridwar, are quashed.

Resultantly, the present Application, filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is allowed and the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.92 of 2025, “State vs. Azam and Others”, pending before the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Roorkee, District Haridwar, are hereby quashed.
