Arindam Lodh, J

Heard Mr. S. Saha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner-ONGC Ltd. Also heard Mr. A. Bhowmik, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-petitioners and Mr. Bidyut Majumder, learned Asstt. S.G. appearing for the respondent-Union of India.

It is submitted by Mr. Saha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner-ONGC Ltd. that the Contractor has failed to pay the wages to the respondent-petitioners who worked under the alleged Contractor. However, in compliance with the direction of this court, the petitioner-ONGC Ltd. is ready and willing to pay the legitimate wages to the respondent-petitioners.

Mr. Saha, learned counsel has further submitted that the ONGC Ltd. could not pay the said wages as per direction of this court for the reason that they were unaware of the particulars of the workmen i.e. the respondents, the original writ petitioners.

In view of this, I direct all the respondents herein to furnish their respective particulars to the Asset Manager, ONGC Ltd. within two weeks. Thereafter, the ONGC Ltd. being the principal employer shall pay the wages of the respondent-petitioners (workmen) within a period of next 3 weeks on receipt of the particulars.

With the aforesaid direction, the instant IA stands disposed.
