Judgment
Antony Dominic, J.—Petitioner was a MBA student in a college affiliated to the first Respondent University. In the final semester examination, he failed in two subjects, viz., Tax Management and Management of Inter Personal and Group Process. He applied for revaluation. It is stated that if the Petitioner did not produce his certificate of passing before his employer before 31-03-2011, he will be terminated.
Standing Counsel appearing for the University points out that the application was made on 05-02-2011 and, therefore, it is premature for the Petitioner to seek a direction from this Court.
Going by the date of application, the University cannot be accused of having delayed revaluation. But, however, fact remains that the Petitioner is at the risk of loosing his employment, if the certificate is not produced before 31-03-2011. In that view of the matter, it is only appropriate that the University should revalue the answer papers pursuant to Ext.P1 application made by the Petitioner on an expeditious basis and declare results. Therefore, I dispose of this writ petition, directing that if Ext.P1 application has been received and is otherwise in order, the revaluation shall be done on a most expeditious basis.
Petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment and writ petition before the University for compliance.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
