This is an application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
Heard Mr. Navneet Kaushik, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. T.C. Agarwal, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State.
Mr. Navneet Kaushik, the learned counsel appearing for the applicant, submitted that the applicant was granted bail in 29 cases by this High Court. The applicant has moved an application before the Special Judge, Anti – Corruption, District Nainital to accept two sureties as against all the 29 cases. However, the said application is still pending.
Mr. Navneet Kaushik, the learned counsel argued that the applicant was granted bail in 29 cases on the condition that the applicant will execute a personal bond and two reliable sureties to the satisfaction of the concerned court, but, it is impossible for the applicant to arrange 58 sureties. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the applicant requested to issue a direction to release the applicant in all the 29 cases on furnishing two person as two sureties as against all the 29 cases.
Mr. T.C. Agarwal, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State, has no objection.
This Criminal Miscellaneous Application (No.655 of 2022), filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is disposed of by providing that the applicant may furnish two reliable sureties to the satisfaction of the concerned court and the same shall hold good for all the 29 cases. It is clarified that the surety bond so executed by the two sureties, to the satisfaction of the concerned court, shall hold good for all the 29 cases.
